Help
The short answers are here. If yours is not, the form at the bottom reaches a person.
- Does the person recording need an account?
- No. They open the link, press one button, and that is the whole thing. No sign-up, no install, no extension.
- Can they record on a phone?
- No, and neither can anyone else: no phone or tablet browser can record its own screen. If someone opens your link on one, the page says so plainly and offers to send the link to a computer instead.
- What happens after they submit?
- The recording lands in your account and their link closes itself, so it cannot be reused and you never get a second take by accident. You get an email, they get a thank-you page.
- What file do I get?
- An MP4 with H.264 wherever the browser supports it, which is what opens everywhere without conversion. A browser that cannot make one produces WebM instead.
- Is the camera on?
- Only if you asked for it on that particular link. Screen and microphone are the default, and whoever is recording sees which of the three are on before they start.
- How long can a recording be?
- Two minutes on the free plan and sixty on the paid one. The limit is shown to the person recording, and it stops on its own rather than failing at the end.
- Can I stop a link I already sent?
- Yes. Revoke it from your account and it stops working immediately, even if it is already open in someone else browser.
